. .

To the people who win large judgments and say it's not about the money, I have two comments. No. 1: If it's not about the money, why don't you donate it to charity? No. 2: Yes, it is about the money.

. .

Time and again airline security or the flagrant lack of it shows up. It is obvious the airlines big and small care very little about the flying public or those on the ground. Weekly smoke screens about security at airports cause no one problems but the flying public. Now they can blame it on government security workers. Hang on, bin Laden, you will get more chances.

. .

I guess it's that time of year where the political literature comes in from all directions. But the best I got so far is from John Rooda. It says he has earned my trust. Any party-hopping politician has certainly not earned my trust. And if you are running on your record, as your literature claims, why ditch your old party for a new one?

. .

Women tame the barbarian in men? I didn't realize I was such a beast by not having a wife. I do believe that caller has serious issues. Now excuse me while I eat a raw boar.

. .

The article by Scheffie Sarver regarding librarians and the Internet is ludicrous. Parents cannot control what children pull up on the library Internet. Miss Sarver must have no sense of right or wrong. Only an idiot would not want to protect children from porn.

. .

I don't know what's with Lolita Cusic complaining about the kids' show "Caillou." My wife and I watch it with our little girls and, like all the children's shows on PBS, it tries to teach them a lesson.

. .

How much good is emission testing doing for the environment when there are consistently at least a dozen vehicles idling outside of every test facility? Is the irony of this lost only on Indiana lawmakers?

. .

Why the big controversy over establishing standards and testing in our government schools? Parents should demand to know if their children are being prepared to prosper and survive in the 21st century.

The Post-Tribune should be commended for the numerous articles they have written trying to hold public officials for the funds they have received.
