SA:Sex charges dropped against SA bus driver

Child sex charges have been dropped against a former school bus driver in South Australia
because of difficulties with the testimony from his alleged victims.

The case came before the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today where prosecutors
tendered no evidence in relation to the offences allegedly committed against a boy aged
under 14 and a girl aged under 16 between January and August last year.

No details were given for the decision but the mother of one of the victims said that
it related to the evidence taken from the alleged victims.

She says the children did a very good job, but they weren't at the point where they
could be cross-examined.

Dignity for Disability MP KELLY VINCENT says the case highlights the need for urgent
reform in the legal system.
